August 1, 2017 -- At the 2018 KSHIMSS Spring Conference, Health IT students and early professionals will find valuable opportunities to better understand issues affecting the Health IT community and learn about new technology and products from participating vendors.
In addition, Abby Van Den Haak, Chapter Student Chair, notes that involvement in local, regional and national healthcare associations and conferences can help new professionals “develop connections and professional networks with peers and other professionals, including potential employers.”
Chapter President, Michelle McGuire, recognizes though, that cost can sometimes put conference attendance out of reach for students and professionals just starting their careers. In an effort to support those just entering the Health IT field, the KSHIMSS chapter would like to offer a limited number of scholarships to the May 3 and 4, 2018 Spring Conference at the Drury Inn in Wichita, KS. These scholarships will cover admittance to the conference. All other costs, such as transportation and lodging, will be the responsibility of the attendee.
Students, early professionals, or educators in Health IT, Clinical Informatics and related fields are encouraged to contact the KSHIMSS Student Chair Abby Van Den Haak at email@example.com or Chapter President Michelle McGuire at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
