Trish Harkness joined Synōvim Healthcare Solutions in 2012 and is currently Senior ISS Services Consultant. She spent more than seven years in the legal field before transitioning to the information technology (IT) field.
Trish started her career in healthcare IT as the Information Systems Director and HPAA Security Officer for a critical access hospital and its associated rural health clinic in Cheyenne County, Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. Trish is also an (ISC) Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) and is Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security
(CHPS) through AHIMA. She is the Treasurer for the Kansas Chapter of HIMSS. Trish is a subject matter expert
in meaningful use and HIPAA. She enjoys sharing her experiences and knowledge to educate and empower healthcare providers.
